A team of eight from Triland Metals Singapore took part in the Ride for Rainbows charity cycle ride in October 2021, and raised $4,750 Singapore Dollars for Club Rainbow Singapore. This charity supports children with chronic illnesses and life-threatening conditions, and supports the whole family in dealing with the challenges these bring.
The team spent September fundraising, and then during October they cycled 10km for every SGD$100 donated. This means that they each cycled a riding distance of at least 50.7km. Although Covid restrictions meant that they could not ride together, the team worked hard to ensure that the distance was completed within the given timescale. With the support of everyone in TMS, this was truly a team effort.
The money raised will be used by Club Rainbow for food rations, education support and therapy intervention, providing holistic support to the children in need.
